Bronly S. BoydBronly S. Boyd, Chairman of the Board

Bronly Boyd is the founder of Boyd Converting Company, which began operations in 1979, and brings 40 years of industry experience to Boyd Technologies. Bronly was graduated from American University in Washington, D.C., with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He serves on the boards of The Berkshire Hills Fund for Excellence and The Stockbridge Land Trust. Bronly is a committee member of the Corporate Fundraising Committee of The Trustees of Reservations and a Trustee of Berkshire Health Systems, where he served as the Chairman of Fairview Hospital from 1994 to 1996. He is also the President of the Stockbridge, MA Golf Club.

B. Stephen BoydB. Stephen Boyd, Board Member

Stephen joined Boyd Converting Company in 1999 as a Regional Sales Manager. In 2003, Stephen was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He was promoted to acting President of Boyd Converting Company in January 2007. Prior to joining Boyd Converting Company, Stephen was an Associate at Economic Growth Group in New York City and an Assistant Editor with Ski Magazine. He was graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Stephen has served on the Board of the Berkshire Applied Technology Council since 2006 and is a member of the Trustees of Reservations.

William A. SukWilliam A. Suk, Board Member

Dr. Suk is the Director of the Center for Risk and Integrated Sciences and the Director of the Superfund Basic Research Program in the Division of Extramural Research and Training of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Suk is also a member of a number of scientific societies and has been a National Science Foundation fellow. He sits on the editorial advisory boards of international journals, including Nanomedicine; Toxicology and Environmental Chemistry; Central European Journal of Public Health; and the International Journal of Occupational Medicine and Environmental Health. He was graduated from American University with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree. Dr. Suk was also graduated from George Washington University Medical School with a Ph.D. in Microbiology and from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with a Master of Public Health degree in Healthy Policy.

Scott M. HandScott M. Hand, Board Member

Mr. Hand served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Inco Limited, a Canadian multinational mining and metals company, from 2002 until 2007, after serving as Deputy Chairman and CEO since April 2001. He had been President of the company since 1992. He earlier served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary and was also responsible for Strategic Planning and Business Development for the company. Mr. Hand joined Inco’s Legal Department in 1973. Before coming to Inco, Mr. Hand was associated with a New York City law firm. He is currently a member of the boards of directors of Manulife Financial Corporation and Fronteer Development Group Inc. Mr. Hand received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College in 1964. After graduating, he spent two years in Ethiopia with the U.S. Peace Corps. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Cornell Law School in 1969 and was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Laws by Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2005.

Matthew I. LapidesMatthew I. Lapides, Board Member

Mr. Lapides is a Senior Vice President with ABRY Partners, LLC, a Boston-based private equity firm. He has 15 years of experience in investing in, operating, and financing companies of all types. Prior to joining ABRY, Mr. Lapides spent six years as a Director in John Hancock’s Bond & Corporate Finance Group, a division of MFC Global Investment Management. In this capacity he was responsible for a multi-billion-dollar global portfolio of investments in public and private securities. Previously, Mr. Lapides spent two and a half years as Vice President of Finance for Diveo Broadband Networks, Inc., a Latin American emerging communications provider. He also spent more than five years as an Investment Banker at Chase Securities Inc., most recently as an Associate in the Private Placements Group. Mr. Lapides received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Colby College.

Richard S. MorseRichard S. Morse, Board Member

Mr. Morse co-founded the law firm of Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton, P.C. in 1993, where he practiced until 2004. Previously he was a partner of Hutchins & Wheeler in Boston, MA, serving as Co-Chairman of its Business Law department for four years. For over 30 years Mr. Morse has acted as principal outside counsel to the top management of publicly traded and privately held companies. In this capacity, he advised on the legal, business and financial aspects of a wide range of domestic and international business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts, financing alternatives, venture capital funding, strategic alliances and joint ventures, and technology licensing. Mr. Morse was graduated from Princeton University and received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Boston University School of Law. He has served as a member of the Small Business Committee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. He serves as counsel to Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton, P.C. and is Director and a member of the Compensation Committee and Audit Committee of Lexia Learning Systems.
