Bronly S. Boyd, Chairman & CEO
Bronly Boyd is the founder of Boyd Converting Company, which began operations in 1979, and brings 40 years of industry experience to Boyd Technologies. Bronly was graduated from American University in Washington, D.C., with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He serves on the boards of The Berkshire Hills Fund for Excellence and The Stockbridge Land Trust. Bronly is a committee member of the Corporate Fundraising Committee of The Trustees of Reservations and a Trustee of Berkshire Health Systems, where he served as the Chairman of Fairview Hospital from 1994 to 1996. Bronly is also the President of the Stockridge (MA) Golf Club.
B. Stephen Boyd, Chief Operating Officer
Stephen joined Boyd Converting Company in 1999 as a Regional Sales Manager. In 2003, Stephen was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He was promoted to President of Boyd Converting Company in January 2007. Prior to joining Boyd Converting Company, Stephen was an Associate at Economic Growth Group in New York City and an Assistant Editor with Ski Magazine. He was graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Stephen has served on the Board of the Berkshire Applied Technology Council since 2006 and is a member of the Trustees of Reservations.
Joan E. Goodenough, CPA, VP Finance
Joan Goodenough joined Boyd Converting Company in 1995 as Controller. She is currently the Vice President of Finance at Boyd Technologies. Prior to joining Boyd Converting, Joan was Audit Senior at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Springfield, MA; Supervisor of Manufacturing Accounting for Easco Hand Tools in Springfield, MA; a CPA at Bilton, Turgeon and Company; and a consulting CPA for medium- and small-size corporations. Joan was graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a minor in Accounting. She is certified and currently licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
Dennis J. Martin, Vice President Operations
Dennis joined Boyd Converting Company in 1980 as Vice President of Manufacturing and brings over 30 years of industry experience to Boyd Technologies. He is an acting Vice President at Boyd Converting Company and the President of Wellington Custom Fabrics. Prior to joining Boyd Converting, Dennis spent several years in the nonwovens industry in production and sales roles. He served as the President of Great Barrington Little League Baseball from 1996 to 1998, where he coached for eight years, and was the President of Southern Berkshire Youth Football from 1998 to 2007 where he also coached. Dennis is currently the Assistant Coach of the Monument Mountain Regional High School Football team in Great Barrington, MA.
Matthew B. Boyd, Vice President Business Development
Matthew joined Boyd Technologies in 2007, after serving as a Junior Analyst in the Corporate Bond and Finance group at John Hancock in Boston, MA. Prior to that, he spent several years as a Sales Associate in High Yield and Distressed Debt sales at Citigroup Global Markets in New York City. Matthew was graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He received his MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Matthew was the President and Founder of the Family Enterprising Association at Babson College.
Andrew E. Diamond, Vice President Business Development
Andrew joined Boyd Converting Company in 1998 as a Vice President of Sales. He is an acting Vice President of Business Development at Boyd Converting Company. Andrew brings over 25 years of industry experience to Boyd Technologies, having served as a Senior Research Scientist and Project Leader with Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Product Development Manager with International Paper Company, Product Support Manager with Colgate Palmolive/The Kendall Company, and as a Chemical Engineer with GTE/Sylvania. He was graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
Walter “Chip” Schnackenberg, Director IT
Chip joined Boyd Converting Company in 2004 as the Information Technology Manager. He is currently responsible for the Network Administration of Boyd Technologies and its subsidiary businesses. Prior to joining Boyd Converting, he served as a Graphic Designer and Injection Mold Designer for Apex Engineering, in Pittsfield, MA, which was later acquired by Medsource Technologies. At Medsource Technologies, Chip served as the Network Administrator for several manufacturing facilities located throughout New England. Chip was graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art History. He is currently a member of his church council and serves as a volunteer for the 311 Art on North Studio Project. Chip also coaches and referees youth soccer.
Michael J. Covell, Director HR
Mike joined Boyd Converting Company in 2004 as the Human Resources Manager. He is currently responsible for Human Resources Management for Boyd Technologies and its subsidiary businesses. Prior to joining Boyd Converting, Mike served in several Human Resources roles at General Electric Company in Schenectady, NY; as the Human Resources Manager and member of the Senior Management team of Commerce One in Pittsfield, MA, and as the Human Resources Manager and member of the Senior Management team of The Kodiak Group in Pittsfield, MA. Mike was graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Management. He has been a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks for ten years, served on the Board of the Berkshire Applied Technology Council, and is a member of the Human Resources Association of Berkshire County. Mike chairs the Safety Committee of Boyd Technologies.
Vanessa Stone, Accountant
Vanessa joined Boyd Converting Company in 2000 as an Accountant. She is currently responsible for bookkeeping at Boyd Technologies and its subsidiary businesses. Prior to joining Boyd Converting, Vanessa was an Accounts Payable Representative at Kinko’s Inc. in Boulder, CO; an Accounts Payable Representative at Vista Gold Corporation in Denver, CO; and a Sales and Tax Accountant at First Data Corporation in Englewood, CO. Vanessa was graduated Cum Laude from Bryant College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting. She is a member of the Alumni Association Scholarship Committee and the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society.
