Boyd Technologies Awarded M-ERT Grant for Domestic PPE Production

Lee, Massachusetts - Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced on May 21st that Boyd Technologies received a grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts through the Manufacturing Emergency Response Team (M-ERT) to boost domestic production of FDA registered personal protective equipment (PPE).

From the onset of the COVID-19 crisis, Boyd Technologies approached the shortage of PPE and other crucial medical supplies with a phased approach: immediate, short term, and long term. Using the Company’s established supply chain network, technical expertise, and commercial partnerships, the Company has provided solutions throughout this crisis.

The State’s partnership with Boyd Technologies for the production of FDA registered surgical masks and N95 respirators is part of a strategic effort by the Commonwealth to establish domestic supply, increase capacity, and meet the spike in demand as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed critical failures in the domestic supply of medical equipment in the United States – we are proud to be collaborating with the Commonwealth and commercial partners to play a part in solving this shortage.”

Chief Executive Officer, Boyd Technologies
